What Seniors services does Dovehill House (DHH) provide?
  • DHH provides supportive living services for seniors in a small, safe, comfortable Senior's Home.
  • All residents receive 3 tasty and nutritious meals per day, plus tea time and snacks.
  • We provide daily room and bed service and weekly laundry and housekeeping. 
  • We also have regular activities and entertainment.
  • For those of our guests who require a bit more assistance to maintain their independence, we also provide Assisted Living Services.

Does Dovehill provide Medications?
  • DHH provides Medication Assistance through our Assisted Living program.

Can you explain Assisted Living (AL)?

  • DHH Assisted Living gives seniors (singles or couples), who are able to self direct their own care, the opportunity to live as independently as possible even when they require some degree of assistance. 
  • DHH Assisted Living offers assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, and personal care. We can also assist with medications.

Do Dovehill residents have access to registered or regulated staff at all times?
  • Yes, a Registered Nurse oversees all care provided at DHH, and is either onsite or accessible by phone 24 hrs per day.
  • Unlike most Assisted Living, DHH ensures that either a Registered Nurse or a Registered Care Aide is onsite 24 hrs per day.
  • All staff are required to have Criminal Record Screening and have their Foodsafe Certificate to be able to serve or care for our residents.

Can I bring my pets to Dovehill House.
  • We discourage housing pets full time at DHH. We do however encourage pets to visit; and we offer Pet Therapy as one of our regular activities.

Do you offer spiritual care at DHH?
  • We have monthly church services and encourage membership and visits to one of our community's many churches.
Is Alcohol allowed at DHH?
  • Yes we allow residents to drink responsibly, this includes moderation and behaviors which respect the well being of all residents at Dovehill House. 

Can we bring our own furniture and pictures?
  • Residents are encouraged to personalize their suites. As long as the furnishings are appropriate and safe we say "please make your suite your home"!
